Just as sure as the crocuses are beginning to appear, and buds are bulging on the dogwood and apple trees, spring is coming to Rappahannock.
Another sure sign of spring’s impending appearance is the runners plying the county’s back roads, getting in shape for the 10th running of the Fodderstack Classic Road Race.
Set for Saturday, April 16, the race will once again see runners from around the Northern Virginia area testing their mettle against the hilly course, run along the old stagecoach road from Flint Hill to Washington.
