Baumgardner
to help Gore
Rappahannock attorney Dol?jj Baumgardner will serve as a coordinator in the presidential campaign of Tennessee Senator Albert V. Gore Jr., the campaign has announced.
Mr. Baumgardner, a member of the county’s Democratic Committee, said that “Senator Gore is a Southerner, and he comes closer than any other candidate to representing the views of most Virginians.”
Daniel Martin, Senator Gore's Virginia coordinator, said that he expects Mr. Baumgardner to be “an integral part of our team. We’re proud to have him on board.”
Senator Gore, who opted to concentrate his campaign on the South rather than spread himself through Iowa and New Hampshire, has said that he considers the Commonwealth a key to a good showing,in the March 8 Super Tuesday primaries.
