Election Day Nov. 7

Virginians will go to the polls next Tuesday, Nov. 7 to elect a governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Amissville fire hall (Jackson District), Chester Gap and Flint Hill fire halls (Wakefield District), Washington fire hall (Hampton District), Sperryville fire hall (Piedmont District) and Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church (Stonewall-Hawthorn District). Polling place relocates

On Election Day, the residents of Hampton District will vote at the Washington Fire Hall rather than the longtime location at the county courthouse. According to election officials, the move was made to ensure easy access for handicapped residents, and also to accomodate the expanding needs of the poll officials for some additional space. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Nov. 7.
