Something had happened at the baptism of Jesus which had Convinced John to believe that Jesus was The Son of Qod.
In Palestine, the Dove was a sacred bird. It was not hunted, and it was not eaten. Even the picture of a Dove was one which Jesus knew and loved.
It was at the Baptism of Jesus that the Spirit of God came in the form of a Dove and lit upon Him. John saw and bare record that Jesus was the Son of God.
Even though the present day Christians or believers did not see the Spirit of God as John did, we should be able to tell others that it is in existence.
The coming of the Spirit in a person’s life is really the coming of God, even though we cannot .see Him with the natural eye, you will have a new sight on life, a change of heart, a desire to be a light for others that may not yet have felt the change as you have.
When we dedicate our lives to God, and continue to serve and worship Him only, His Spirit will continue to guide you in all of our daily walks of life. There are always stumbling blocks in our paths when we make our minds up to serve God and Him only, but we have to pray and ask Him to give us strength and courage to do the things that are pleasing to Him.
God is always ready to help those that desire His help and His mercy. God be with you always is my prayer.
