Meditation classes begin

Toni White will be teaching “Adventures in Consciousness,” a meditation class for beginners and for those who would like to teach meditation, beginning Nov. 2 and Nov. 9 respectively, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on alternating Thursday nights. Wreath workshop

Participants in this one day workshop on Saturday, Nov. 18 will learn to weave and decorate evergreen wreaths, swags, and rope, and wild grapevine wreaths. Greens, .ines, and dried flowers will be supplied, and at least three wreaths will be completed. All ages are welcome and family rates are available. Fiber arts for students

Fiber Artist Dancing Reed will teach students how to use natural fiber techniques such as weaving, god’s-eye, and wTeath making. Vines, sticks, feathers, flow'ers, rocks will be provided for use in making Indian medicine wheels, shields, masks, magic wands or anything you wish. Life drawing workshop

This inforal open adult weekly session each Thursday from 7-9 p.m., is for the person who wants to explore figure drawing on their own. Bring your own drawing supplies. Pre-registration not required, but there is a $10 fee per session. For further information call (703) 675-3649.

Amissville Church bazaar

A church bazaar will be held on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. At the Amissville United Methodist Church. All types of crafts, special Christmas crafts, baked goods, pecans and white elephants will be offered. Lunch will also be available and consist of homemade soup, sandwiches, chicken and dumplings, chili and desserts. Other special attractions include an apple butter sale and a silent auction of a quilt. Bids will have a minumum of $250 and will be open at 3:30 when the day’s festivities are over. Homemakers Achievement night

Rappahannock County Homemakers Clubs will hold their annual Achievement Night program on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the Amissville Baptist Church. After the program a silent auction will be held. The public is cordially invited to attend.
