Lord r airtax Community College broke ground for a $2.7 million, 24,000 square-foot Learning Resource Center Oct. 20 at the Middletown campus.
Attending the ceremony were a number of state and local dignataries, including former governor LinWood Holton, Senator William Truban, Delegate Alson Smith, VCCS Chancellor Johnas F. Hockaday, VCCS State Board Member Nellie Quander, College Board Chair Rita Lancaster and Rappahannock County Supervisor Robert Anderson of Woodville.
Governor Holton called the center “another investment which has been made for the future of Virginia,” and LFCC President Marilyn Beck added that the project was “a symbol of LFCC’s tremendous success.”
