Susan Longyear of Washington is one of 12 national winners in Country Woman magazine’s recipe contest. Mrs. Longyear’s winning recipe, “Beef Casserole Italiano,” was chosen from entries submitted from Country Woman’s 950,000 subscribers.
“To be honest, what first attracted me to this beef casserole was how good it looks with the nice cheesy lattice pattern melting over the beef feeling, surrounded by bright green spinach,” said Mrs. Longyear. “My husband isn’t so concerned with looks. He says he likes this pretty dish ’cause it tastes great!” Mrs. Longyear added.
