Turkey walk Nov. 11
The Rappahannock Chapter of the American Heart Association will conduct its annual “Turkey Walk” at the Intersections of Rt. 600 and Rt. 612 in Old Hollow on Saturday, Nov. 11. 'The Rescuers'
The movie The Rescuers will be playing at the Gay Street theatre on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 4 and 5 at 2 p.m. each day. Ranked among the best of Disney’s later productions, this 1977 animated movie is disarmingly witty. The movie is rate G. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
Recycling meeting Nov. 14
Recycling coordinator Nina Stamer announced that there will be an open meeting at the courthouse on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. to discuss recycling. Mrs. Stamer said questions about recycling are welcome, as well as suggestions about how to better implement the county’s recycling program. Call Mrs. Stamer (675-3810) for more information.
Family portraits, Nov. 4
Rappahannock County Elementary School and the seventh grade presents family portraits on Saturday, Nov. 4. The cost per portrait will be $10 for an 11x14. Packages will also be available with delivery in three weeks. In the afternoon from 1 to 4 walk-ins will be accepted.
