Sixty members and friends of the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community gathered on Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Washington Fire Hall for an evening of square dancing.
The beautifully smooth hall floor was a perfect setting for this energetic crowd. The caller, Slim Harrison, played the fiddle and instructed the dancers in a number of sets including a Virginia reel. The dancers ranged in age from five to seventy five.
The dance organizers, Frank Reynolds and Charles Tompkins provided cold drinks, chili and hors d’oeuvres that dancers enjoyed all evening.
