People who receive supplemental security income (SSI) payments can expect to have their eligibility reviewed periodically, Bruce A. Hundley, Social Security manager in Culpeper, said last week.

SSI is a program administered by the Social Security Administration to provide monthly cash income to people 65 or older, blind or disabled, who have little other income and few resources. Money for SSI payments comes from general revenues, not Social Security taxes, Mr. Hundley said.
