Prizes are parimutuelly determined, which means they are based on the number of dollars wagered, and the number of winners that week. However, the Lottery will guarantee a minimum $1 million jackpot each week.
“Jackpots are hard to predict, but I believe jackpot^ of $3 to $10 million are possible during the first year of Virginia’s Lotto game,” Mr. Thorson said.
Drawings will be held every Saturday night at 10:58 p.m. on Virginia’s Public Television Stations. The first drawing will be held Jan. 27.
