“The reason I’m asking for up to twelve units is tl^at there is not a demand for all this commercial space now, and there is a need for housing,” he told the planners. There would be four two-bedroom units and two one-bedroom units in the first six apartments. Mr. Metcalfe said he would need to get $450 to $500 per month for the two-bedroom apartments and $350 to $400 for the one-bedroom apartments.

“The object is to make it look as attractive as I can and serve a purpose,” he said.

“I look at it as a Rejuvenation project for Flint Hill,” Wakefield District representative Werner Krebser said.

The packing shed is currently being used for “Aunt Jane’s,” a shop that performs dressmaking and alterations, storage of tires for recapping, a blacksmith shop and honey storage.
