Nearly 250 skiers, students ranging in age from three to 18 and about 50 parents, have begun the Wakefield School ski season in earnest. After skiing three Mondays in January at Bryce Resort, the ski clubv will return to the slopes for a winter sports week Feb. 5-9.
All skiers are classed by ability and age after attending classes in skiing techniques. Students and parents, with ability in both groups ranging from beginner to advanced, are graded after each lesson. There is lots of time for fun skiing, as well. A huge, festive banquet is held at the end of ski week at Bryce, when awards are given for both technical skill and speed.
