Fairfax, died on May 14. Tony and Elisa, along with children Stephany and Jamie, moved to Amissville from Fairfax about a year ago.
Sympathy is also expressed to Mrs. Elva Compton at the passing of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Edith Compton Wharton on May 13. She was 83. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Joseph “Bill” Compton, her brother, Mr. Charles W. Compton and her parents Sam and Martha Bowen Compton. Mrs. Wharton was reared in Amiss ville but was living in Arlington at the time of her death. She had taught school for many years in Rappahannock and Warren counties.
Belated birthday wishes to Mrs. Mattie Holmes who celebrated her 85th birthday on May 12 and to Christine Judd who celebrated her special day on May 15.
