to pay for more hours.

Mrs. Leake requested $200 for her budget to pay for repair to the copying machine she shares with District Court Clerk Pat Davis, but the supervisors suggested that Sheriff John Henry Woodward let her have one he recently had repaired and get a new one.

Sheriff Woodward told the supervisors that there will be several change orders needed during the jail addition project, but so far he does not know what they will add to the cost. The first change he recommended was to have the floor tile in the existing office and day room replaced.

He said during excavation the builders had dug into an old water tank buried in the wall. Once that is removed the wall will have to be repaired.

Mr. McCarthy added another change order of his own, because the bid specifications didn’t include the stone facing on the new foundation for the relocated summer kitchen. This was required by the town’s Architectural Review Board.

“We are going to have rolling change orders that will sometimes change the cost.”
