The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center is headquartered in Culpeper, at 401 South Main St. It oversees programs for residents over 60 years of age. To reach its administrative office, call 825-3100. Among its services:

• A just-published booklet on resources available to seniors in the service area. This 250-page book, which includes listings of stores which provide delivery services as well as programs provided by both public and private agencies, in available through the CSC office. The cost is $12, although assistance is available for those with limited income.

• CSC Transit (825-6494): A regular transportation service linking the towns within the service area.

• Retired Senior Volunteer Program (675-3329): Coordinated by Jeanie McNear, this program pairs volunteers with clients who require a wide range of services, from transportation to doctor’s appointments to in-home meal preparation. Volunteers receive mileage reimbursement.
