For those stopping at Horseshoe Hills for a bite to eat before venturing across the street to Oldway Craft Village, they should obey traffic directors and park in designated areas.
“There is usually someone at Oldway to help people cross the road safely,” Sheriff Woodward said, adding pedestrians should use caution when crossing the road. Several officers will patrol the area and offer assistance when needed, the sheriff said.
While at Oldway Craft Village, Sperryville Spring Festival guests can enjoy a step back into time as crafters hand-engrave crystal, perfect wood projects, shoe a horse or demonstrate bee-keeping activities. Children can wear a happy face as face painters demonstrate while adults sample foods and enjoy live entertainment.
Located at the base of the mountain, Country Manor offers a retreat from the outside with fine foods and drink as well as a collection of local and well-known craft items, as well as basket weaving demonstrations by Warren Henry. Parking is also available in front of Country Manor.
