Flint Hill carnival set
The Flint Hill Volunteer firemen have set August 1-4 for their annual carnival. Wednesday will feature a special ride price of $4 for the entire evening. The parade will be held on Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. Saturday will be the awarding of prizes which will include a 1990 Ford. Dance at CCLC
Rock ‘n Roll fans of all ages are invited to join The Child Care and Learning Center on Saturday, July 14 from 8 p.m. to midnight at CCLC’s pavilion for a rock ‘n roll dance featuring the Ok’s. Admission is $7 per person. Refreshments will be available. All proceeds will benefit CCLC. For more information call 675-3237.

'High Hopes' at Theater
The movie High Hopes will be playing at the Gay Street Theater on Saturday and Sunday, July 14 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. each night. A sensitive, shabby left wing couple have been abandoned by Thatcherism . .. this movie is about such things as the extinction of neighoborliness, the loss of family courage and pride in a time of narcissistic coupledom.

Life drawing class
A Life Drawing class meets at the Gallery each Thursday from 7:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. A model is provided, each person should bring their own supplies. The fee is $10 per class. For information, call Dianne (675-3649).

Natural History day camp
A 2 week day camp co-sponsored by the Piedmont Environmental Council and the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection offers children ages 7 to 11 an opportunity to discover natural wonders by exploring forest, field, wetland and creek habitat and will be held July 16 to 27 at Meadowbrook Farm in Huntly.
