Surviving are two sisters, Anna Williams of Chester Gap and Virginia Sears of Hagerstown, Md.; and one half-sister, Elizabeth Ritenour of Front Royal.
Pallbearers were Bedford Robinson, Walter Irvin, Smith Baldwin, Elwood Wines, Robert Dysart and Shelton Burke.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
Lewis F. Lee
Funeral services for Lewis Francis Lee of The Plains were July 5 at Moser Funeral Home, with interment in the Lee family cemetery at The Plains. The Rev. Chris Riedel officiated.
Mr. Lee, 71, died July 3 in Fauquier Hospital.
Bom Jan. 4, 1919, in The Plains, Lee followed his father Francis Lee’s footsteps and was a taxidermist for over 40 years.
Lee’s Taxidermy, licensed by the State Game Commission, is the only full-time taxidermy business in Fauquier County and eiyoys a statewide reputation.
Lee’s sons joined the family business, which also incorporates a taxidermy supply company, a few years ago.
It’s one of a small group of thirdgeneration businesses in Fauquier County.
Survivors, all of The Plains, include his widow, Elizabeth P. Lee; two sons, Robert Lee and Lewis F. Lee Jr.; a brother, James S. Lee; two sisters, Robbie L. Smith and Elizabeth L. Foster; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church or The Plains Rescue Squad.
