The Town Council of Washington,
Va. and the Rappahannock Planning Commission will hold a joint hearing on proposed zoning for the town. The hearing is set for July 21 at 8 p.m. in the courthouse at Washington. At this time citizens views for or against the proposed zoning ordinance for the town will be heard. A copy of the ordinance may be seen at the County Clerk’s office, Washington, Va.
Last Thursday’s deluge of rain measured 2.05 inches at the official gauge in Amissville. Total precipitation for the first 13 days of July measured 3.05 inches at the Amissville gauge.
