The Deborah Leigh White Memorial Scholarship has been established for students in nursing at Germanna Community College.
Miss White, a nurse at Culpeper Memorial Hospital and a staff member of the weekly Culpeper News, died this summer of leukemia at the age of 31. She was a graduate of the nursing program at Germanna.
Recipients of the scholarship must be students in their second or third year of Germanna’s nursing program. Academic achievement will be the nuyor factor in the choice, with financial need a second consideration.
