Ninja Turtle

hosts festival

While Fauquier County apparently cannot claim Tom Cruise as a local resident, kids may find consolation in meeting Donatello, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, at C.M. Crockett Park’s Children’s Festival. The event will be held 2 p.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15.

Woodsy the Owl and Smokey Bear join Donatello in hosting this annual festival which features topnotch children’s entertainment, crafts, and more. Now in its fourth year, the festival enjoys tremendous popularity with adults as well as children of all ages.

Experience a romp in the swamp with “Billy B,” clown around with Christian the Magician, and let your spirit soar with a hot-air balloon ride. Get a close look at wild animals from the Virginia Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and then let Bob Brown’s puppets entertain you.

All this fun is free of charge when adults are accompanied by a child between the ages of 3 and 17. Admission is $3 for ages 6-17; and just $2 for those 3-5.
