Roberts Bros. Three Ring Circus under the Big Top is on its way to Flint Hill. Circus Day will be Thursday, Sept. 20 when the circus will set up at Flint Hill carnival grounds to perform at 7 p.m. under the sponsorship of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department, which will benefit from every ticket sold.
The circus is on its 17th annual tour and mixed in with animals, clowns, jugglers and acrobats, this year’s edition of the circus has an exceptionally outstanding group of aerialists.
Featured this year high up in the Big Top will be trapeze artist Denise Earl, who became a circus performer as a labor of love. That is, her husband Edward Earl is related to the family who owns the circus. He became the lot superintendent in charge of putting up the Big Top each day.
Denise, a young bride of 19, was given a job selling tickets. She’s not the type to be standing outside when the band is playing inside.
