Mr. Lynch’s attorney, Gerard F. Treanor, said that “Mr. Lynch has cooperated fully with the investigation and will continue to cooperate with the investigation so that the matter wilt be brought to a conclusion in the near future.”
All four men were charged with a Class 1 misdemeanor, which carries a maximum punishment of 12 months in jail and/or a $1,000 fine. Mr. Lynch remains free on $1,000 unsecured bond, with a hearing date set in General District Court on Sept. 18. The other three men will be formally charged this week, Mr. Luke said.
The Commonwealth’s Attorney said that his office “has gone as far as we plan to go in terms of the scope of the investigation,” and that he does not expect any additional charges to be filed. Mr. Luke declined further comment on the case “at this time.”
