AGRICULTURAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE The board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, through the Agricultural Advisory Committee appointed by the Rappahannock County Planning Commission, are soliciting proposals to conduct a multi-part survey of Agriculture in Rappahannock County and to perform a study of the value of Agriculture in Rappahannock County. These efforts are intended to be combined with a “Cost of Sprawl" study to be prepared separately, which together will comprise the first ,efort of the Advisory Committee in a report on the status of Agriculture in Rappahannock. The survey work will consist of questionnaire development, pretesting, approximately 500 interviews in two or more phases, data compilation and analysis as well as report preparation. The Study proposed would attempt to qualify the economic multipliers enacted by a vibrant local agricultural economy in the form of effects on retail trade, tourism (to include restaurants, hotel bookings, etc), and other agricultural enterprises (pick your own operations, etc) The work to be performed will be conducted under the supervision of the Rappahannock County Agricultural Advisory Committee, and will be funded by local and regional fundraising efforts. Final contract award is contingent upon securing final funding needed, but is not expected to exceed $30,000 in billable fees. Interested bidders are encouraged to contact John W.
