Woman's Club to meet

The Rappahannock Woman's Club will meet on Monday, Oct. 22 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Helen Smith near Amissville. All members are encouraged to attend.

Wakefield family yard sale

Wakefield School in Huntly will hold its first “200 Family Yard Sale" at the school on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature items donated to the school by family, alumni and friends, including bicycles, clothing, toys, small appliances, tools, furniture and miscellaneous bric-a-brac. There will also be a ski equipment booth, with items sold on consignment. Refreshments will be sold by St. Peter's Catholic Parish of Washington as well as by the school's Sports Boosters. Citrus fruit orders will also be taken, with a 10 percent “early bird” discount.

Flexerdse classes begin

An eight-week series of Flexercise classes will begin on Monday, Oct. 22 at 5:45 p.m. at Rappahannock County Elementary School. Classes will meet each Monday and Thursday evening. The fee is $35 for the eight-week session. Beginners are welcomed. For more information, call Rose Ann Sharp (675-3887, evenings).
