Mrs. Eastham read the President General’s message in which Mrs. Yochim, President, called upon all 200,000 members of the NSDAR to continue the task of preserving the legacy of the past one hundred years for the next years to come.
The Registrar, Mrs. Dale Metzinger, presented five names of prospective members who were accepted by vote of the chapter. They will become full-fledged DAR members after their credentials, proving a direct line to a participant in the Revolutionary War, are-approved by the National Committee.
Plans for the SAR-DAR annual banquet on Dec. 18 were given, which will be held this year at the Culpeper Holiday Inn with this chapter as hostess.
The next meeting will be Nov. 13 at the Culpeper United Methodist Church at 1:30 with Mrs. Edward W. Schaefer as speaker who will give an account of married life in the 1850’s of the John Y. Mason family in Richmond.
