This is one of the original houses of the county and one of the oldest remaining “ordinaries” in the area having served as such, as inn and hostelry' since before young George Washington came here in 1749 to help survey the Lord Fairfax holdings. It.is now the home of Charles and Frances Eldred and France’s father, Paul Walker.
