Citrus fruit underway
The Rappahannock Music Boosters Club is now selling cirtus fruit through the month of November. Fruit can be purchased from any band or chorus members and seventh graders. Proceeds will go towards purchasing band uniforms and the seventh grade trip. Dance at Amissville
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a dance on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the fire hall. Eddie Huff and his band Tarragon will be playing. Cost is $15 a couple, $8 single. Proper dress and identification are required. For more information call Sheila Scott at 937-4357.
Murder mystery at School House
The School House Restaurant and Inn, Flint Hill will present a murder mystery on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The mystery starts promptly at 7 p.m. with a clue gathering social hour. According to School House Restaurant proprietor, Sheila O’Brien in 1768, a murder happened at the Old School House and it is said that the ghost of Phil Boleyn still walks the floors at The School House, awaiting his revenge! Cost of the three course dinner will be $49.95. Seating is limited. Call 675-3030 for reservations.
Fall festival at RCES
The Halloween fall festival will be held Friday, Oct. 26 at the Rappahannock Elementary School. The event starts with the 7th grade pizza dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. in the cafeteria. Cost is $5 per person allu-can-eat. The dinner will be followed by a haunted house, Astro jump rides, games and more from 7 to 9 p.m. in the gym. The festival is sponsored by the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) and proceeds will benefit the 7th grade trip and the PTO.
