On Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17 Trish and Bob Darby hosted 85 republicans from Rappahannock, Fauquier and Warren counties at a gathering to launch Bob Darby’s campaign for the 31st District seat in the House of Delegates. Joining the gathering were Susan Allen, the wife of congressional candidate George Allen, her parents Dottie and Larry Brown and Loretta Petty, George Allen’s legislative aid. Also present was Ed Robb, the Republican candidate for the 25th Senatorial District, which includes the Stonewall-Hawthome District of Rappahannock County. Speaking to the group Bob described the history of Woodville and the Reid House (his home) and introduced his campaign team.
Mrs. Allen thanked the group for their support of her husband and the other candidates on the Republican ticket.
Woodville Baptist Church held a Baptismal service at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville on Sunday, Aug. 18 for Derek D. Daczewitz and Michael W. Johnston.
