• Considered sending an envoy to a hearing on Sept. 3 by the Board of Zoning Appeals on an appeal of Zoning Administrator John McCarthy’s decision on the Fredette Eagle shed.

Council member Ray Gooch, who voiced questions about the matter, said the Zoning Administrator’s decisions ought to be more well-publicized. He only heard about the decision, and the appeal by a neighbor, by chance, he said.

“We probably need to change the ordinance so that you and the public can be more aware of it,” said Town Attorney Frank Reynolds.

The council authorized Mr. Reynolds to appear at the appeal as legal counsel to the BZA.
