bration. She requested that if the town plans to mark the birthday in the future, that it do so “further from July 4th.” Although the parking plan needs work, she called the event “generally successful.”
• Discussed amendments to the Subdivision Ordinance. Mr. Gooch said a “reasonable notice mechanism” for zoning administrator decisions should be added to the ordinance.
He also voiced complaints about “tax lots being a lot for non-conforming use purposes.” He said the only lots of record should qualify. “There are a lot of little ones and I don’t think they should be included as a lot of record.”
“I think lots in the courthouse should be the town lots,” said Mr. Gooch.
• Discussed the possibility of hiring some administrative help. Mrs. Parrish said such help would take some of the burden off Town Attorney Reynolds as well as fill in the gaps between council members’ jobs.
“Next month if everybody thinks it’s a good idea let’s bring to the table all the things we want (an employee) to do.” said Mr. Morehouse.
