proud of
To the Editor:
We citizens of Rappahannock and Virginia have much to be thankful for and proud of. Our local and state services for the protection of our environment and the personnel, public and volunteer, who serve them, is splendid.
Following an asphalt spill from a tank truck that seriously threatened a treasured feature on my family’s and my land, the promptness with which they stemmed the flow of pollutants filled me with admiration - as did the subsequent .thorough clean-up job directed by the Whitehurst Corp.
Those persons involved, and whose names and addresses I was able to find, have already received the private expression of our thanks. To them, and to the many other selfless helpers, who I did not know how to reach individually, I hereby wish to publicly state our gratitude for saving a precious family possession.
