should be considered the frontrunner. Noted University of Virginia analyst Dr. Larry Sabato has said Del. Miller would make a formidable candidate against either Mary Sue Terry or Don Beyer( one of whom is most likely to be the Democratic nominee for governor. The GOP ticket may also be helped by the rift in state party circles that has come among through the almost incredible battle to the death between Sen. Robb and Gov. Wilder, a struggle that has probably finished off whatever presidential ambitions either of them may have entertained.
The election doesn’t take place for two years, of course, and much can and will intervene. People are already standing in line to run for lieutenant governor and attorney general on both the Republican and Democratic tickets.
