Although Secretary Ray Goochpleaded for “just one meeting without a discussion of street lights,” his cries went unheaded. The Washington Town. Council spent nearly two hours rehashing the street light issue at last Wednesday’s meeting after approving a request by Nicholas Raymond of Flint Hill for a special use permit.
Mr. Raymond operates a small salad and sandwich delivery service in Flint Hill. He told the council he wants to move the business to Washington and set up in a small retail space in the basement of the Clopton House on Main Street.
“We take phone orders and then deliver food around the area. It is a very small business aimed at the local clientele,” he said. He calls his special fare Ochs Boxes.
Ed Barton, Junior Warden at Trinity Episcopal Church, questioned the capacity of the drain field that serves the Clopton House and raised the issue of parking, always a problem in that part of
