closings
The following businesses and county offices will have special hours during the Christmas season:
The county offices will be closed Dec. 24 and 25. ''The Rappahannock National Bank in Washington will close at noon on Dec. 24 and will be closed Dec. 25.
The Fanners and Merchants Bank in Flint Hill will close at noon on Dec. 24 and will be closed Dec. 25.
The Rappahannock Social Services Department will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 as will the Rappahannock Health Department.
The Rappahannock Library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25.
Area post offices will be closed Dec. 25.
The Rappahannock Public Schools will dismiss at 2 p.m. on Dec. 23 and will return to school on Jan. 4.
Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly will close at noon on Friday, Dec. 18 and classes will resume on Jan. 5.
Family Guidance Services of Rappahannock will close at noon on Dec. 23 and will be closed Dec. 24 and 25. In case of an emergency, members of the staff will be on call and messages can be left by calling their answering machine at 6753329.
The Rappahannock News will be dosed on Dec. 25.
