but it was awfully hard to explain to' them what had happened when 1 could not comprehend it myself.
We listen to the news everyday and hear about people killing each other in the city and I thank God for always letting me live on a farm where up until Thanksgiving Day I felt safe!
But if someone did not have anymore regard for life than to kill a 22year-old race horse who was living out his golden years on our farm, then I am sure he has no regard for a person’s life either.
Our Misty Dunce was not Secretariat, but to us he was a great race horse and friend who had worked hard as any race horse does. For his breeding he had won a lot of races in. his life time, and deserved to restand be happy with us on the farm. -
He gave me a lot of joy and hap-; piness and I am going to miss himniekering and shaking his head in the' morning and evening waiting pa-; tiently for his mixture of oats,sweetfeed and of course his daily! apples that he enjoyed so much.
I will never see him running andgrazing and just being happy. The! void in my heart will never go away!; I have lost a lot of loved ones in mylife, and now another one is forever! gone.
The only consulation I have is! that I believe in God and I know that* one way or another this person willpay for what he did. I hope he gets achance to read this. ;
I would like to say one more* thing to this person. My brother! Robert A. Jeffries broke and trained! this wonderful animal and Mrs. JaneKramer knowing how much my brother loved him, gave Dunce to him and his family. So you see with one mindless shot you broke twp families hearts!
