Mr. Gooch responded, “But we ought to sit down and talk with the Inn to see if we can work together on lighting.”
After more back and forth between members of council and those in the audience, the ARB was left to work with the Inn without direct instructions from Town Council.
Before the council could get on to other business it was forced to rehash its vote on street lights taken last month. Members of the audience wanted to know why the council had apparently ignored a poll of town residents when it voted 4-3 for a single fixture.
