Down a game and a half, The Rappahannock varsity volleyball team came back to defeat the Brentsville Tigers in a thrilling match Monday night.
It was Rappahannock’s opening game as the Manassas Park Tip-Off Tournament scheduled for this past weekend was postponed because of flooded streets in Prince William County. '
The first game against Brentsville was a back and forth affair until it reached 10 all, and then the Brentsville women took control and won going away at 15-11. They continued the surge in the second game as the Rappahannock Panthers seemed half asleep. But when the score reached 13-7 the Panthers finally woke up.
Brentsville could not score another point as the Rappahannock women suddenly started playing heads up ball and began working as a team. They won the second game 1513 and continued to pour on the pressure in the final game, leading at one point 12-6.
Then the Panthers seemed to go to sleep again. Coach Paratore called
