After graduating from Penn State University with a BFA in Ceramics and Photography, Ms. Schneidman spent two years as an art teacher. Then she began working in watercolors in 1975. She spent two years as a freelance artist in Washington, D.C. Then she was employed as a picture editor and researcher at Time-Life Books from 1977 through 1991.
Her paintings have been exhibited in galleries since 1986 when friends encouraged her to show her work. “My first show was at TimeLife. That summer I showed at Sansar Gallery in Washington, D.C., which is located on Wisconsin Avenue, and I show work there now,” she said. She also exhibits her paintings at a gallery in Lenox, Massachusetts and in Canada.
