Dr. Robert B. Iadeluca, Warrenton psychologist, has been appointed to coordinate all Red Cross Mental Health activities in a ten-county area during an immediately after a disaster, it was announced recently by Ursula Baxley, Chapter Chairperson.
This is a volunteer position and, in this capacity, he will be in regular contact with other Red Cross mental health disaster personnel in the counties of Clark, Culpeper, Fauquier, Frederick, Madison, Orange, Page, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, and Warren.
Dr. Iadeluca explained that a crisis such as a disaster affects people in different ways and at different times and that an important part of recovery is recognizing crisis reactions as well as normal emotions.
Licensed psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed professional counselors, registered nurses, and other certified to work in the mental health'field are encouraged to offer their services by calling the Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross at 349-2516.
