D.C., and their first two orders were placed by The Written Word, a stationery store, and The Phillips Collection, both located near Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. Ms. Schneidman is the only artist selling cards in the Phillips Collection shop whose work is not also in the museum’s collection.
“We gradually started increasing the number of cards, and did the shipping out of our house for the first two years,” said Mr. Landis. Now the couple has a space in Culpeper. All of the cards are shipped out from there with help from two other people.
