Messrs. Hater and Nakai have collaborated on a new album which is due to be released in June, and some of the new music may be included in the concert this Friday. The album is the third which the two have produced together. Their last one, “Migration”, was an enormous success and was in the top 15 on Billboard’s New Age Chart. The Body Mind Spirit Magazine said of the album, ““Migration” is an intensely moving collaboration which exemplifies creativity, purpose and melody in music...pure pleasure.
Mr. Hater moved to Rappahannock with his wife, Chris White, and one child (now two .children) four years ago. They could have lived anywhere they wished, but chose Rappahannock. “The land here feels very special. The energy is very different from surrounding counties. I like the community; your friends can have such a wide range of interests. ”
Mr. Hater says that Rappahannock and Boulder, Colorado are his favorite places to put on concerts. “My friendships here are not about my career. It is great to feel the community spirit. It is fun to share that part of my life with the people here,” he added. u
