Interment was at Chapman Cemetery in Barnshea, Kentucky.
Arrangements were handled by Lee Funeral Home in Manassas.
Alise Wilson
Alise Julia Butler Wilson of Staunton, formerly of Woodville died on Sunday, May 8 at King Daughters Hospital in Staunton.
She was born June 20, 1917, in Woodville the daughter of the late John H. and Minnie Howard Butler.
Mrs. Wilson completed elementary school in Rappahannock County and high school at Booker T. Washington High School in Staunton.
She owned and operated Butlers Beauty Shop for 26 years in Waynesboro.
She was a members of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Staunton where she served as an Usher and a member of the flower committee.
She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Stars and a Past Worthy Matron of Radiant Chapter no. 109.
She is survived by her husband, Lee A. Wilson of Staunton; three step-children, Barrett Wilson of Stuarts Draft, Othelia Bullard of Philadelphia, Pa. and Cecil Wilson of Philadelphia, Pa.
Additional survivors include two brothers, Lewis S. Butler Sr. of Sperryville and James R. Butler of Gordonsville; one sister, Irene E. Butler of Washington, D.C.; seven grandchildren; fifteen nieces; three nephews, four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; one daughter-in-law; her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard H. Butler and Walter Kemper Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Staunton.
Viewing will be at 12 noon until time of service at the church.
Rev. Dr. C. Philp Johnson, Pastor of Mt. Zion will officiate.
Burial will be at Thomrose Cemetery in Staunton.
