As Congress debates how to create alliances to improve and streamline healthcare, Culpeper Memorial Hospital and the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center have already created new lines of communication ai)d a joint effort.
Using the academic and research resources of the University and the efficiency and compassion of CMH, the two hospitals are cooperating to provide psychiatric services at Pinebrookc-UVa Psychiatric Center.
This is a hometown example of how healthcare facilities can work together to provide optimal care for their patients.
UVa provides the medical director, Dr. Roy Stcfanik, board certified psychiatrist, plus occasional inservices for hospital staff.
