Tremendous community spirit was evident last week, in the efforts that were expended, to make the “County Suppers” a rousing success. Tireless efforts made by Rose Ann Sharp, Marion Sharp, Susan McCarthy, Rosa Crocker and committee chairperson, Kay Miller resulted in a much needed fund raiser netting $3,200 for the Child Care and Learning Center.
It was most heartening to see that our community can support his worthwhile cause with such enthusiasm. In gratitude to all hostesses and participants, we hope that we may count on all of you to make this an even greater success in 1995.

Concerning the debate in Northern Virginia about Disney’s proposed theme park in Prince William County, let’s step back and look at the big picture.
First, the facts: Urban sprawl has been a part of civilization for thousands of years since when the first cities emerged. Urban sprawl has been a very real condition in the D.C. region for many decades. Rapid growth in Prince William and surrounding counties has been going on long before Disney announced their plans.
