Charles Peyton Sr.
Charles Henry Peyton Sr., 60, of Culpeper, died Thursday, April 28 in Culpeper Health Care Center.
Mr. Peyton was bom Oct. 8, 1933, in Rappahannock, son of the Earl and Daisy Jett Peyton.
He was a bailer for a textile waste company and a member of Third Zion Baptist Church at Success.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma Louise Peyton of Winchester; two sons, Charles Henry Peyton II of Winchester and Charles Anthony Robinson of Strasburg; two daughters, Crystal Robinson and Robin Robinson, both of Strasburg; one stepson, Wayne Alsberry of Winchester; two stepdaughters, Penny Starks and Lillie Johnson, both of Winchester; one brother, Arthur Peyton of Round Hill; four sisters, Lou Pendleton of Strasburg, Mary Peyton of Washington, D.C., Ida j Peyton and Ada Morton, both of Leesburg, and nine stepgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday, May 2 at Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles E. Jackson Jr. officiating.
Interment was in Good Hope Cemetery.
Pallbearers were members of Third Zion Baptist Church of Success.
James Jenkins
James Gabriel Jenkins, 75, of BerryviUe died Tuesay, May 3 at his home.
The funeral was conducted Friday at the Enders Funeral Home in Berryville by the Rev. Thomas Keithley.
Burial was in Willis Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Huntly.
Mr. Jenkins was bom Aug. 28, 1918, in Flint Hill, son of the late James L. and B. Kathryn Jenkins Jenkins.
He was employed for many years as gardener for the Department of Navy and retired from Mount Weather as a custodian.
He was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Myrtle Jenkins; a son, James R. Jenkins of Broad Run; two daughters, Dorothy J. Royston and Joan J. Elsea, both of Berryville; three sisters, Frances Campbell of Warrenton, Ann Lockhart and Margaret Henry, both of Front Royal; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Danny Campbell, Wayne Curry, Gordon Bailey, Richard Gardener, Bunny Welch and Dickie Brady.
Col. R.L. Leach Jr.
Col. Robert Lee Leach Jr., 83, of Front Royal died Wednesday, May 4 at the Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal.
