Through a dense woods flow's a rippling creek; there, is hidden a most unusual “garden”.
In the center of the stream is an island, appearing to have a surface of only chipped rock and small stones. Yet, this -~ unlikely ground gives birth to the most delicate and colorful flowers. How can such beauty spring from this apparently barren birthplace? Yet, looking more closely, there is fertile soil hidden beneath the stones.
When times are troublesome, one may say, “Life sure is rocky!” Sometimes, life appears barren, as if nothing beautiful can exist Search deeper~into the Bible. God has promised that He is there for us “till the wilderness is a fruitful field" (Isaiah 32:15).
In each soul is fertile soil. When tended with trust in God. the beauty of serenity will emerge..even in the “rockiest" of times.
Worship in God’s Garden this Sabbath. Delight in the essence of His eternal love.
