Broadway plays that he produced musical scores for. The plays, “Poster of the Cosmos” and “Moonshot,” written by Pulitzer Prize winner Lanford Wilson, are currently showing at the Circle Repertory Theatre. Mr. Rater has also produced musical scores for the Discovery Channel’s Series How the West Was Won, PBS’s Wild America, and The United States National Parks Services 75th Anniversary.

Mr. Rater and his wife comprise the musical group Flesh and Bone. They worked together to produce “Skeleton Woman,” which is a musical interpretation of the popular Women Who Run With The Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Ph.D. Cecil Hooker and Bobby Read also contributed to this album.

Mr. Rater performs from 50 to 100 concerts a year, in concert halls, music festivals, historic churches and jazz clubs around the United States. He has opened concerts for Dan Fogelberg, Bruce Hornsby and John Denver.

Ticket seekers for this Friday’s concert have been calling from Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., and North Carolina. Rappahannock County is lucky to have him as a member of the community and as a fine musician and composer. All that attend his concert this Friday are in for a treat. f
