Rappahannock News Staff Writer ' The baseball team won two more games last week while the softball and soccer teams were winning one each and losing one each. ; Against Manassas Park in an away game last Tuesday the baseball team had its most impressive ;win of the season getting an 11 to 1 ^victory.
Coach Bob Howard said J.C. Welch pitched the entire game getting 12 strike outs while giving up . three hits and two walks.
“Offensively we did a great job,” •he said. “We had season highs in irons, hits, and stolen bases.” The ; team had 12 hits and 13 stolen bases. • Willie Eastham scored three runs, '.had two hits, stole three bases and - scored two RBIs, he said. • In the Friday game at home ; against Clarke County the team struggled and was down 0 to 5 going • into the bottom of the seventh in; ning. With two outs the team managed to score six runs and get the win 6 to 5.
Luke Zindel pitched the entire game and gave up only one earned run while striking out five batters.
